Facebook news feed: How to get it to show most recent posts

Ever since several updates back, Facebook decided to be a control freak and force us to view our News Feed in the Top Stories option by default.

That frustration got me to Google around for options and so it seemed that there aren't any settings on Facebook to permanently switch it to the good old Most Recent option. There's an unorthodox alternative which may be tedious to some.

Bookmark the above URL to your browser bar and access Facebook via the bookmarks button. It'll go to Facebook with the Most Recent option as default!

This problem is only on desktop browsing though. Mobile browsing still sorts your News Feed in chronological order.
